HOW TO WE RUN 3 PHASE MOTOR ON SINGLE PHASE

Yes we can run
 but motor should be lower rating 


Most of many methods can be used but three method is used mostely
1) Capacitor connecting across winding
2) Frequency variable drive method
3) Rotary converter method

By using single phase to 3 phase converting  it is possible. but it's useful only for low horse power ratings.
 And by adding a capacitor we can do this ,
 and also we can foreword and reverse the motor.
 Using 230v single phase / 230v 3 phase vfd motor delta connection 400/1.732 =230volts

 Using VFD wud be best......
